Summer 2008

| Philippians 4:13 tells us that “we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength” and this summer we are going to live it! With seven weeks of summer program for children in grades K-6 and several opportunities for preschoolers,, the mission of Central Kids this summer is to empower children to live out their faith because the power of the Spirit lives in them! |

Elementary Camps are for children who have completed Kindergarten up through grade six. A signed registration is required to participate. Every effort has been made to make these camps affordable. An elementary aged child can participate in 7 weeks of camp for $92! Scholarships are available in necessary. Space is limited. Contact Shawna Horn with any questions. . |
Power to Explore - Urban Adventures Camp
June 9-12 10am – 4pm $20 |
| We will explore what adventures are waiting for us in the city. From the Chutes and Ladder Playground to the Minnesota Zoo, plus a few surprises, we will explore as the disciples did, trying new things and learning how faith fits into community at this full day camp. |

The Best of Summer School
During the long weeks of summer school, Central Kids will offer 4 weeks of afternoon camps (time to be announced when St. Paul Schools publish their summer time schedule) for children in K-6 grades. |
Power to Change - Science
June 16-19 afternoons $8
We will learn how our hearts and lives can change as we explore the mystery of John 3. Children will do hands on science experiments each day in our Summer Science Lab!
Power to Move – Recess
June 23-26 afternoons $8
Everyone’s favorite subject in school is recess! We will challenge kids to move this summer with the words of the Great Commission. Each day we will focus on a new recess activity. So get ready to move!
Power to Teach – Journalism
July 7-10 afternoons $8
We all have a story to tell. Students will work on building writing skills, photography skills and teaching skills as they find stories of faith, courage and hope from the Bible and our community then share them in the first Central Kids Newspaper that we will make during the week.
Power to Create – Art
July 14-17 afternoons $8
This week of camp, children will have fun creating art projects from different mediums like metal, mosaic tile, basket weaving and more! During the creative process we will focus on Psalm 139 and learn about how God made each one us special, just like each of our projects is special. |

Power to Worship – Hip Hop Camp
August 4-7 10am – 4pm $20 |
| AGAPE will return to lead us in a powerful week of hip hop worship! So get ready for fun, kids will worship with their voice, worship with dance, worship with how they live, and worship with how they care for others. |

Power to Succeed – Country Camp
August 11-14 10 am – 4pm $20 |
| We will end the summer with an energy packed week of Olympic style games and events in the wide open spaces of Cannon Falls, MN. Each day we will travel to our host church who will engage us in a week of crazy Olympic Games while learning about Christ’s power in us. |

Power-Packed Preschoolers
Preschool camps or for children ages 3-5. Children must have completed a registration form to participate in the Incredible Edibles Camp.

Incredible Edibles - Power Fueled Food Camp
June 16-19 9am -11am $8
Ages 3-5 |
| Your young learners will have fun being fueled by the Spirit as they create heavenly concoctions to eat each morning. We will also have fun making crafts and playing games. Parents presence not required. |

Power to Play and Praise Mondays
Six Mondays of fu-filled play time for parents and their young children with a new devotional theme each week. Pre registration not required, parents must accompany their children. |

| Central Kids, it is our desire to provide safe, fun and spiritually uplifting experiences for children throughout the summer. Please be in prayer for the children’s ministry this summer as we look to address a real need in our community and celebrate the young families of our congregation.
