Connections- Part 3
Join a Small Group!
We are all born dependent – 100%. We can’t do anything for ourselves. As we grow and age, we thankfully become more independent, taking on our own care and even the care of those who are dependent on us. However, no matter our age, we never lose our need of dependence on others for relationship and connection. This past year and a half has taught us many things about the dangers and challenges of isolation and disconnection.
You are invited to some healthy self-care and warm relationships. Won’t you consider joining a small connection group this year at Central? Our small groups are reforming and there is room for you! These groups, known as GPS (for Grow, Pray, Serve), meet one to two times a month from October-May. Some will meet in homes and some may meet via Zoom. Time is given for fellowship, studying God’s word, prayer, and serving – to one another, to the church, to our greater community.
Sign-up for new participants will take place on Sundays at the Info counter (next to the café). You may also call the church office, or simply register by replying to this email. Those of you already involved in a group will be contacted by your GPS leader to verify your participation.
Our GPS groups became an important life line during the pandemic lock-downs. Lord willing, we won’t have to experience that again, but your presence in a group will ensure you are cared for, supported, and connected no matter what!
“Let us build one another up in love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together…but encouraging one another.” -Hebrews 10:24
