Devotion 1-13-21

19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, -- Deuteronomy 30:19

What is the Christian walk? What do we, as Christian choose for our lives on a daily bases? Do we really have the possibility to choose life over death. It depends on how you view God in comparison to how you view the world. The world has the never ending tendency to offer you shame, guilt, and condemnation, but God offers you forgiveness, which is the road to new beginnings. The world may one day offer you the opportunity to be highly acclimated and respected, but on the very next day, you could be repudiated like chop-liver. Through the world you may develop addictions to a verity of different vises. However, through God we can experience “peace that passes all understanding.” The world will surely offer us broken promises, but God provides us with His unchangeable Word. The world can offer you a exaggerated version of life, but God offers us a life of freedom (in Him), and a life of abundance. The world, through our experience and emotions, runs hot and cold, but God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Life in abundance is only provided for us when we put God first, therefore, let’s overcome our fears, our vices, our attitude of entitlement, and our anger; If you have unhealed pain, God is the healer. Do you experience lack? God is our provider. Do you experience the same results over and over? God is into making all things new. In spite of where we are as a plorized nation, I emphatically encourage you to choose God on a daily basis nonetheless. He’s always there for us, we can totally depend on and put our trust in Him. So when you wake-up this week, thank God for yet another day, and then, CHOOSE LIFE, choose God.
